AJK Mass Communication Research Center
Students from FIC, Okhla Village attended a radio production workshop at AJK Mass Communication Research Center, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2010. They learned writing and technical production skills necessary for producing a radio program. Each earned a certificate for their two-day participation. The resulting program was aired by the Jamia Community Radio.
Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics
This one-month long animation and video film-making workshop (June-July, 2010) was organized by Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics, South Extension, in association with Aseem ASHA Foundation, Okhla Village at MAAC Center, South Extension, New Delhi. More than 70 students from both of the centres learned about animation, sound recording, sound editing, and video-editing software. To achieve field exposure, the students conducted their own hands-on video shoot. The final product of the workshop was a video animated film screened in many local, regional and national film festivals.
Children's Center, Nehru Memorial and Museum Library, Teen Murti House
This three-day newspaper-making workshop (November 2010) was organised by Children’s Centre during its annual event Dhanak Din Bal Mela at Nehru Memorial and Museum Library (NMML), Teen Murti House in New Delhi. More than 45 students from Aseem Asha Foundation and other schools of Delhi participated in this workshop conducted by Mr. Aseem Asha Usman. Everyone learned about how to design a schedule for conducting an in-depth newspaper interview. Their stories covered the various workshops taking place and included interviews with different participants and visitors on their experiences during the grand fair. The final product of the workshop was a newspaper featuring a collection of experiences and thoughts provided by these budding journalists.
